ecobee for Carrier Thermostat: How to Use It (Video + Interactive Guide) | Air Comfort Service

Quickstart and Basic Functions of the ecobee for Carrier

The ecobee for Carrier is the Carrier-branded version of the ecobee smart thermostat, and day to day you only need four things: how to read the screen, how to change the temperature, how to switch between heating and cooling, and how to use the Comfort Settings.

The Every Day Four

1. Reading the Screen

Up top you'll see your system status and the menu button. In the middle is your indoor humidity, and the large number is your current temperature. The rounded button just below it is your set-point — when you've changed it, it shows **Holding**.

2. Changing the temperature

Tap the set-point, then use the plus and minus buttons (or slide the dial) to set it. Let go, and your ecobee holds it until the next scheduled change.

3. Switching between heat and cool

Tap the menu button, open **System Mode**, and choose Heat, Cool, Auto, or Off. Auto works well in St. Louis spring and fall, when one week needs both.

4. Comfort Settings & fan

Leaving the house? Tap the menu, open **Comfort Setting**, and pick Home, Away, or Sleep to save energy. Each stores its own temperatures. You can also run the fan from here anytime to keep the air moving.
